- Harry mentioned taking time for himself in the day
- Williams shared how the royal often helps her
Prince Harry knows how important it is to make time for yourself, even when it's not easy! As People shares, Thursday saw the Duke of Sussex make his first appearance of the year at a virtual event focused on mental health, and he talked about self-care.
Prince Harry talks about scheduling "me time"
Prince Harry chatted with sports star Serena Williams during the session, which was hosted by BetterUp. A known advocate for mental health, Harry joined forces with the California-based firm as its chief impact officer last year. The royal was candid during the talk, admitting that he can "experience burnout" and revealing his personal self-care routine. He also shared how he makes time for himself!
The Duke of Sussex said while self-care tends to be "the first thing that drops away" in his day, he always looks for a window of time to dedicate to it. Harry shared that when there is "a break in our program," he takes it as a chance to "workout, take the dog for a walk, get out in nature, maybe meditate."
Harry enforced the importance of making this "me time" a habit, which prompted Williams to say she needs to do "a little work" there. She mentioned that Harry is "always solving all my life's problems," revealing that he even connected her with a mental health professional!
