It's a tradition almost as old as the British monarchy itself: the "Trooping the Colour" ceremony is held to honor the reigning monarch. On Saturday, the typical "Trooping the Color" ceremony was celebrated in London in honor of King Charles III, but many couldn't help but notice that there were some royals missing this important event.

They had a very good reason after all...

Louise and James, the children of Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, were not present at the ceremonies. "The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh's children are not expected to become working members of the royal family," said a palace correspondent.
