Shannon left the series after the fourth season. Apparently, there were increasing arguments on set. After “Beverly Hills, 90210,” she appeared in many TV movies and series. Among other roles, she also played a leading role in the series “Charmed.” In 2015, the actress was diagnosed with breast cancer. She initially beat the disease, but in early 2020, it returned—at stage 4. In 2019, she appeared in the reboot of “Beverly Hills, 90210”—“BH9210.” However, that show has since been canceled. She was last seen in “Born to Kill” in 2024. On July 13, 2024, Doherty died of complications from her cancer at the age of 53.
