On a quasi-meta level, the actors are playing versions of themselves on BH90210 as they reunite and consider a revival of Beverly Hills, 90210. Jennie Garth recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the show: "It’s about the characters behind the characters. It’s inside the lives of people that lived in those shoes for those 10 years, and it’s about them coming back together."
Jason Priestley: "It's incredibly special"
Garth's former and future co-star Jason Priestley also told Entertainment Weekly what it means to him to work with the old gang after losing Luke Perry in March: "It’s incredibly special, and I think that we all appreciate it more, and appreciate our fellow castmates a little more now."
