As the Tool Time assistant "Lisa", the highly attractive blonde was part of the sitcom for two whole seasons. From the third season on, Pamela was replaced by Debbe Dunning aka "Heidi". The character of the second Tool Time assistant would actually be expanded a whole lot more than the one of Pam Anderson.

At the beginning, the sitcom was actually supposed to be called Hammer Time. In order to avoid confusion with the M.C. Hammer song, the sitcom was renamed to Tool Time for the pilot episode. Later on, the series' producers changed the name to Home Improvement, since they didn't want to call the sitcom exactly like the show within the show.

Home Improvement was the first sitcom which had its own video game! In 1994, Nintendo released "Home Improvement: Power Tool Pursuit" for Super Nintendo in which "Tim" desperately jumps from sound stage to sound stage, trying to find the lost tools...But the game had no instruction manual. Only a slip of paper with the inscription "Real men need no instructions" was supplied to the user!
