Taika Waititi Caught Stashing His Oscar Award Under His Seat!
Showcase is bringing together a new collaboration between Oscar-winner Taika Waititi and two-time Oscar-nominee Jude Law! The TV series is called The Auteur.
The Auteur is a horror-comedy based on the graphic novel of the same title. Taika Waititi and Peter Warren will adapt the graphic novel with Jude Law set to star in the series.

The Auteur: What we know about the TV series so far
The Auteur will air in thirty-minute episodes on Showcase. A release date is not yet known.
The graphic novel source material is about a horror movie production gone wrong. A filmmaker brings in a real serial killer for his film, but he accidentally traps his film crew on set with the killer.
Taika Waititi is on as a writer, producer, and director. His schedule may complicate his commitments, but he is guaranteed to direct at least the pilot.

Taika Waititi is fresh off a big win at the 2020 Oscars for his film, Jojo Rabbit. The Nazi-satire film won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. It was also nominated for Best Picture.
Waititi is known for directing the popular Marvel movie Thor: Ragnarok. His other titles include Boy, Hunt For The Wilderpeople, and What We Do In The Shadows - in which he also costars.
The New Zealand filmmaker has a sports comedy film, Next Goal Wins, coming out in 2020. He's also attached to direct the next "Thor" movie, Thor: Love and Thunder.
