Julia Roberts and George Clooney have been tapped to star in an exciting new movie together! As Variety reports, Roberts and Clooney will be headlining the romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise, which reunites the two actors for the first time in several years!
Roberts and Clooney have starred in two films together
Roberts' new project with Clooney comes as exciting news to fans of both actors, especially since they've worked together several times before! In 2001, they teamed up for the heist movie Ocean's Eleven. Clooney played "Danny Ocean," while Roberts played his wife, "Tess Ocean".
The duo then shared the screen again over a decade later, starring opposite one another in 2016's Money Monster! Directed by Jodie Foster, the thriller saw Roberts play "Patty Fenn," and Clooney played "Lee Gates". Now, 5 years after their last film together, the two actors are reuniting once more for Ticket to Paradise.
Roberts and Clooney to play divorced couple in rom-com
Roberts and Clooney's new movie Ticket to Paradise is set to begin filming sometime later this year! As Variety shares, the rom-com will see the two actors playing "a divorced couple who journey to Bali to stop their daughter from getting hitched."
Ticket to Paradise will be directed by Ol Parker, who also helmed The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. The script was penned by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Ted Melfi, who's known for the 2016 historical drama Hidden Figures. We're excited to see what comes of Roberts and Clooney's latest project!
