Jurassic World: Dominion welcomes the return of the franchise's three most beloved stars: Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum. They headline the 2021 sequel, after last appearing as a trio in the first Jurassic Park movie in 1993.
But their return comes without one notable former co-star: Richard Attenborough, who played "John Hammond," the founder of Jurassic Park, in the 1993 film. The legendary British actor passed away in 2014 at age 90.

Jurassic World: Dominion is currently filming in Iver, England, where a shoot took place at a special location: the Richard Attenborough Stage at Pinewood Studios. Neill, Dern, and Goldblum paused for a photo in front of the stage, and Neill penned a tribute to the late icon on social media.
"Today, here we are, thinking about our pal and colleague, dear old Dickie Attenborough, on the actual Richard Attenborough Stage at Pinewood Studios," Neill wrote on Instagram. "Completely appropriately, we face our greatest dinosaur terror yet today, on a great soundstage named for the great man himself."
Neill continued, writing that the new film is in "capable hands" who "should make it okay." The tribute concluded: "As Dickie would say, 'Darling, I lived through the Blitz'."

Dominion, the third film of the Jurassic World cycle, is currently set for a June 2022 release. It sees Neill and Dern return to the franchise for the first time since Jurassic Park III in 2003, while Goldblum returned for 2018's Fallen Kingdom. Attenborough's final work in the franchise was 1997's The Lost World, though his voice appeared posthumously in Jurassic World (2015).
On the Dominion set, the reunion has made for entertaining social media fare. In recent months, Neill, Dern, and Goldblum have shared videos recreating original Jurassic Park scenes and even singing musical numbers.
