These TV Series Are Ending In 2020

Modern Family is in the midst of airing its 11th and final season on ABC! They filmed the two-part series finale in late February, though it won't air until April 8. The finale filming day was noted to be an emotional day on set. Many of the show's stars shared to Instagram tributes to the cast and their time on the show. 

But now Ed O'Neill, who plays "Jay," is specifying who the most emotional person was during that last day on set.

On The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen asked Ed O'Neill who was the most emotional for the finale. "I'd have to say Julie. Julie Bowen," he answered. "I thought she was going to have to be sedated and carried out."

Although O'Neill singled out co-star Julie Bowen, he finished by saying: "But everybody was having their moments."

Modern Family season 11 finale: How Ed O'Neill is handling it

As for O'Neill, on the finale, he said: "I'm more Youngstown, Ohio, steel mill, 'Let's get it done.'"

But the former Married... With Children actor went on to describe his unique way of processing emotion. "They said, 'You don't cry. You're not emotional.' I said, 'Four months from now I'll be getting a massage, I'll burst into tears. No one will know why.'"

As of March 9, Modern Family only has four more episodes to air. The two-part series finale shows on April 8
