'Catwoman'

Catwoman may have starred Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry, but that wasn't enough to rescue this film about Gotham City's feline prowler! The film was panned by critics and fans alike, and Berry received a Razzie Award for her performance, thanking Warner Bros. studio "for putting me in a piece of s***, god-awful movie" in her 2005 acceptance speech.

'Daredevil'

Daredevil was a box office flop back in 2003, and even its star, Ben Affleck, wasn't a fan of the project. During an interview in 2016 while promoting his film Live By Night Affleck said that he "hated Daredevil so much." He revealed that this later inspired him to give the superhero world another go by taking on the mantle of "Batman"!

'Batman and Robin'

Batman and Robin has been widely panned since its release in 1997, and its star George Clooney has made no secret of his distaste for the project. During a 2020 interview with GQ, Clooney called the superhero sequel "a terrible film," criticizing not only his acting, but the film's execution as a whole— particularly some of those cringeworthy one-liners.

'Twilight'

Twilight may have Robert Pattinson a household name for playing sparkly vampire "Edward Cullen," but it's not exactly a project that Pattinson is happy to have been involved with! "The more I read the script, the more I hated this guy," Pattinson once said of his character. He even commented that if he wasn't part of the film, he "would just mindlessly hate it." However, years later he may have changed his tune, saying he has "very warm memories" of the franchise looking back on it in 2019.

'Titanic'

Titanic is one of the most famous blockbusters, but its leading lady Kate Winslet has criticized her performance as "Rose DeWitt Bukater". Winslet has said she wishes she could have done a better job with "every single scene" in the film. She's also been particularly critical of her attempt to put on an American accent as her character, which she said was "awful".

'Grease 2'

Grease 2 was considered a box office flop when it was released back in 1982, but the oft-maligned sequel helped launch Michelle Pfeiffer's career. However, Pfeiffer— who played "Stephanie" in the follow-up to the hit teen musical — has since said she "hated that film with a vengeance and could not believe how bad it was."

'Shallow Hal'

Shallow Hal was intended to be a quirky romantic comedy about a man who falls in love with an overweight woman after being hypnotized. However, Gwyneth Paltrow has since expressed her regret for taking the role of "Rosemary," calling the film "a disaster" and the least favourite of her entire career. Paltrow also said she "felt humiliated" while wearing the fatsuit.

'The Help'

The Help performed well when it came out and even led to many of its cast members receiving Oscar nominations, including Viola Davis. However, Davis — who plays housekeeper "Aibileen Clark" in the 2011 film — has made it clear she isn't proud of the role. The actress explained that "there’s a part of me that feels like I betrayed myself, and my people" after appearing in a film with a "white saviour" narrative.

'Aloha'

Aloha had a star-studded cast and was helmed by Cameron Crowe, but the 2015 rom-com made a major misstep when it cast Emma Stone. The actress came under fire for playing "Allison Ng," with many calling her casting culturally insensitive since the character is of Hawaiian and Asian descent. During the 2019 Golden Globes, Stone famously shouted "I'm sorry!" when the role was brought up during a monologue.
