'NCIS' Season 20: Find Out HERE When New Episodes Return!

NCIS season 19 came to an end last month with a dramatic finale. Fans were left wanting more after a case involving "Alden Parker" and his ex-wife, plus the new romance between "Palmer" and "Knight."

Thankfully, NCIS was renewed for season 20 several months back. And CBS just announced when the series will return with new episodes. Click to the next slide to learn the release date!

NCIS has been on the air since 2003, and it returns for an incredible 20th season this fall. CBS just announced when new episodes return, and NCIS season 20 starts on: Monday, September 19.

"Grab your gear," the show's official Instagram writes. "You won't want to miss it." So, what else is there to have in mind for the new season? ...

So far, the full cast of NCIS is expected back in season 20. That includes newcomers Gary Cole as "Parker" and Katrina Law as "Knight"...

Actress Teri Polo, who debuted as "Vivian Kolchak" at the end of season 19, will also be back next season. Fans are intrigued by the new character, who is the ex-wife of "Parker."

Then there is the never-ending speculation about "Gibbs." Star Mark Harmon exited the series early in season 19, and we haven't see him back since. All has been quiet, but fans are certainly hoping for a guest appearance by the former NCIS boss.

Another detail to watch for is crossovers. NCIS and NCIS: Hawaii crossed over in season 19, and fans recently saw NCIS: LA star LL Cool J post about a meeting with NCIS star Sean Murray. We'll see if that one goes anywhere!
