- The actors co-starred in Mad Max: Fury Road
- Now Hardy has taken the blame for it
Today, movie fans were hit with drama from the set of 2015's Mad Max: Fury Road. A new book is out and it details star Charlize Theron's difficulties with Tom Hardy.
The two apparently "hated" each other, and it stemmed from Hardy showing up late and being disrespectful on set. But things escalated to a point where Theron "felt threatened" and unsafe around her co-star.
Tom Hardy answers Charlize Theron Mad Max allegations
The allegations come in a new book, and Tom Hardy told his side of the story to author Kyle Buchanan. He actually shouldered the blame.
Per the Daily Mail, Hardy said: "In hindsight, I was in over my head in many ways. The pressure on both of us was overwhelming at times."
He continued: "What she needed was a better, perhaps more experienced partner in me. That's something that can't be faked. I'd like to think that now that I'm older and uglier, I could rise to that occasion."
Blood, Sweat & Chrome: The Wild and True Story of Mad Max: Fury Road was released this Tuesday.
The George Miller film was one of the best reviewed of the 2010s and took the action genre to bold new places. We'll see if more comes from the Hardy-Theron feud.
