Just over ten years after the premiere of the latest installment of High School Musical, Zac Efron will return to Disney, the studio that brought him to fame with the hit film trilogy of High School Musical and his role as "Troy Bolton." According to Variety, the actor was hired by Disney to star in a remake of the popular eighties film Three Men and a Baby that will premiere on the Disney Plus streaming platform in 2022. Zac Efron to Star in Remake of Three Men and a Baby

After the success of his Netflix documentary series Down to Earth with Zac Efron, the popular American actor will return to the sets early next year to film a remake of Three Men and a Baby, originally starring Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson in 1987.

According to Variety, the film will be written by Will Reichel, whose only previous credit is the drama Hot Air starring Steve Coogan released in 2019.

Gordon Gray, responsible for films like The Rookie (2002), Million Dollar Arm (2014), and The Way Back (2020), will produce the project.

Zac Efron's Return to Disney

Although a director has not yet been confirmed nor has other cast members been announced, the remake of Three Men and a Baby already causes excitement among fans by marking the reunion between Zac Efron and Disney.
