Zendaya (27) always causes a stir with her appearance and red carpet looks. She easily tops the best-dressed list on every red carpet. Zendaya: Brands didn't want to work with her
Her stylist Law Roach (45) has played a part in Zendaya's rise to style icon status. He has been working with her since her teenage years and has some shocking secrets to share.
In the podcast 'The Cutting Room Floor', he reveals that many brands didn't want to work with Zendaya. "I would write the big five. I would write Saint Laurent, Chanel, Gucci, Valentino, Dior, and they would all say, 'No, try again next year. She's too green'," says Law.
She has already worn some of these brands for magazine shoots, but: "She still has never worn Dior on a carpet. She still has never worn Chanel on a carpet. She has still never worn Gucci on a carpet — any press, any appearance, never. Never," explains the stylist.
And it will probably stay that way for a while, says Law Roach: "When I said, ‘If you say no, it’ll be a no forever,’ that rang true for a long, long time." However, Zendaya is clearly not lacking in stunning looks.
