1. No one held back, Each candidate's first debate answer contained insults about their opponent. DeSantis called Haley "another mealy-mouthed politician," and Haley pointed to "Ron's lies." This kind of rhetoric is becoming the standard in American politics, more and more, as time goes on!
What else happened?
2. They each criticized Trump, Both candidates took aim at the ways in which Trump handled the pandemic, border security and China while in office. This is something that could make them unpopular but it needs to be done!
