Anne Hathaway has revealed that she was pregnant when she started filming The Witches! Hathaway appeared on Live With Kelly and Ryan on Monday, where she talked about how she managed to ask for a costume adjustment before shooting without letting the baby news slip!

Hathaway says original costume had "a really tight waist"

Hathaway confirmed she and her husband, Adam Shulman, welcomed a baby boy almost a year ago, and that she'd been expecting while she filmed her new fantasy movie, The Witches! "Now I have a beautiful almost-11-month-old boy, but I was pregnant when I made The Witches, so technically he's all over that performance," she said. Hathaway also revealed her son's name— Jack!

She then went on to share that while she "reveled" in working with costume designer Joanna Johnston, she ran into a problem when it came time for her fitting! "She goes, 'I really want you to have a really tight waist.' And I had just found out that I was pregnant and I was like, 'Mmm, no. No, I don't think so. No,'" Hathaway explained. "And she was like, 'Well, why?' And I was like, 'Eh, you know, I just know myself.' I'm scrambling for a reason."

Hathaway told costume designer she wouldn't "be as free"

Hathaway was, fortunately, able to convince Johnston not to make her costume as tight-fitting as she'd originally planned without revealing she was expecting. "And I'm like, 'I just know myself and I know that I won't be as free,'" the actress explained. "I won't be as free if I'm constrained around my middle, so we just better make everything very loose.'"

As People mentions, Hathaway also talked about how her 4-and-a-half-year-old son Jonathan has been handling having a little brother around! "No coping, just love," she said of the dynamic between the two siblings. "Now Jack's big enough to wrestle with, and that's brought a new element to their relationship that's really cute."
