Lea Thompson's Famous Family
The '80s star Lea Thompson became a Hollywood treasure for her roles in countless hits like Red Dawn, Jaws 3-D, All the Right Moves, and of course as "Lorraine McFly" in Back to the Future. She then met director Howard Deutch while filming the 1989 hit Some Kind of Wonderful and the two fell head over heels for each other.
Lea and Howard had two daughters, Madelyn in 1991 and Zoey in 1994 who followed in their mom's acting footsteps! Meet Madelyn and Zoey Deutch!
Madelyn Deutch had acted since she was a little girl in small roles before she starred in the History Channel series Texas Rising. This was her first taste of working alongside big names like Bill Paxton, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Thomas Jane, and another Back to the Future star Crispin Glover!
She starred in a few independent productions like the powerful drama Windsor where she had the lead role as a girl in a small town whose father is in prison for attempted murder.

Her younger sister Zoey is a bit more active in acting, having starred in over 30 productions. Zoey studied acting since she was a little girl and landed the role of "Maya" on The Suite Life on Deck, "Juliet Martin" on Ringer, and in the movie Mayor Cupcake with her mother and sister. She began getting more serious attention in Hollywood when she performed in the drama Beautiful Creatures, NCIS, Switched at Birth, and Vampire Academy.
Zoey continued to work alongside big names like Robert DeNiro and Zac Efron in Dirty Grandpa and James Franco and Bryan Cranston in Why Him? She was also recruited by critically acclaimed director Richard Linklater's film Everybody Wants Some!!
She also impressively starred in Before I Fall and in the J.D. Salinger biopic Rebel in the Rye alongside Nicholas Hoult, Kevin Spacey, and Laura Dern. Again she landed the lead role in the comedy-drama Flower as troubled but bold "Erica" who extorts pedophiles in order to raise enough bail money for her imprisoned father. Collider described her work as an "electric lead performance."
Then the family came together in 2017 for Lea Thompson's directional debut The Year Of Spectacular Men that starred Madelyn, Zoey, and Lea! Madelyn herself wrote the script! Lea plays the on-screen mother of both Madelyn and Zoey. Madelyn is the main character "Izzy" who has a traditional self-destructive pattern of failed relationships after college.
Zoey continues to act and even starred in music videos for Ed Sheeran, New Division, and in Justin Bieber's brand new music video "Anyone." Since her time working with her mother and daughter she also starred in The Disaster Artist, The Politician, Zombieland: Double Tap, and The Professor alongside Johnny Depp.
All three actresses have productions in the works and we can't wait to see what they do next!
