• 'N Sync are a famous American boy band
  • They came to prominence in the early 1990s
  • THIS is their new song

On Sept. 28, the full song dropped and it's just as catchy as people would expect. 'N Sync haven't missed a single beat, and some feel they're back and better than ever.  "Better Place" kicks off with Justin Timberlake singing the first verse, followed by JC Chasez bringing in his smooth vocals to the upbeat track. Like everything they record, the song is an infectious banger, and it's meant to be a throwback to the ‘90s and ‘00s with a contemporary update with a disco-pop beat.

News of their new song came just one day after the iconic boy band, which consists of Timberlake, Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick, reunited at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. And now it makes sense as to why they showed up in the first place.

'N Sync are ready to melt your heart again

The group came up on stage while Taylor Swift was receiving an award. "Are you doing something? What’s gonna happen now?" Swift asked the group on stage after they presented her with the award for best pop video. "They’re gonna do something and I need to know what it is!" And now we all know.

Music lovers all over the world are rejoicing over the news. For many, the musical landscape has become stale, and it's refreshing to hear familiar voices from a bygone era, doing it all over again! Ahead of the release, Timberlake posted a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram showing the group coming together in the recording studio for the song.

"If we do this song, it’s a love letter to our fans. I would be honored to have the group on this song," Justin said.

Also interesting:

Of all its members, Justin has been the most successful, even venturing into the world of acting on film. Timberlake has been the voice of "Branch" in the 'Trolls' franchise, which began with the 2016 'Trolls' movie and has had various spin-offs since. 'Trolls Band Together' will be the third film in the saga, to be released in theaters later this year. But no need to wait that long to hear "Better Place" in full. The song is now available on all platforms.

Universal tells TODAY.com that while the ‘N Sync song “I Want You Back” is heard in the trailer and will be on the soundtrack, Timberlake re-recorded it for the film with some other movie characters, voiced by Eric Andre and Daveed Diggs. According to sources, the group has only recorded that song for the film.

But there is a good chance they'll maybe get back together for more music in the near future. The band last released "Girlfriend," off their 2001 album 'Celebrity' as a single in early 2002. It was also their last song to chart, peaking at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

It's a safe bet "Better Place" will be a chart-topper as well.
