The Bachelor's Catherine Giudici Lowe On Being One Of Few POC In The Franchise

Catherine Giudici Lowe was the winner of both the 17th season of The Bachelor and of Sean Lowe's heart. Now she has taken to Instagram to reflect on her time on the show. In her post, she explained that she and her husband's season of The Bachelor would be airing in a shortened episode and that she "was very flattered but somewhat grounded by the fact that I would be one of the faces that represented people of color. I knew that one of the reasons I was probably chosen was because I was Filipino."

Catherine opened up that she did not believe she had a real chance with super sweet Sean because she was only there to "check a box" but "I allowed this experience to open myself up to the possibility of being fully loved and appreciated for all that I was. I ended up getting to represent a mixed-race community, I found Christ (I LOVE my testimony!) and marrying the most amazing man I've ever known."

She shared her experience in hope of inspiring her fans who ever feel what she felt by saying "Don't count yourself out. You are destined to do bigger things than just check a box." She and Sean ultimately married and had 3 gorgeous children together. They love to show off the heart-meltingly cute faces of Samuel, Isaiah, and Mia on social media.

Her message is truly important especially during these trying times and we cannot wait to see what she and her family have in store next!
