Hinting on Twitter about the awkward mistake, Evans made light of the situation, saying, "Now that I have your attention... Vote Nov. 3!"

His Avengers co-star Mark Ruffalo also joked with the movie star, taking a slight jab at the President.

"Bro, while Trump is in office there is NOTHING you could possibly do to embarrass yourself," he said on Twitter. "See... silver lining."

Several other celebrities commented on his mistake, including his Knives Out co-star, Jamie Lee Curtis. "My boy! Proud of him. Got MY attention," she wrote on Twitter.

Evans has been very vocal of late about the upcoming American election and has said he's been trying to use his platform for good.
