Hollywood Heartthrobs Dennis Quaid And Meg Ryan Met On Set
The Right Stuff's Dennis Quaid and Sleepless In Seattle's Meg Ryan met on the set of their first movie together, Innerspace, but the acting giants did not begin to date until their second film together D.O.A. in 1988. Once they started seeing each other they were smitten and the public loved watching their romance blossom both on-screen and off.
Frequency star, Dennis Quaid and Top Gun's Meg Ryan married in February of 1991 and had their gorgeous son Jack Quaid on April 24th, 1992. They both report that they had a beautiful marriage but the pressures of Hollywood really took a toll on each of them and the false narratives built by the media especially bothered Meg.

When the pair first got together it was Dennis who was the more successful actor and during their marriage, Meg began to land bigger and bigger roles. Dennis felt more and more pressure to reach a certain level in the acting community then cocaine and alcohol were added to the mix and the marriage fell apart.
The media assumed that their 2000 divorce was due to an affair between Meg & Russell Crowe but because both Meg and Dennis were staying private about the details, the media was left to draw their own conclusions.
Years later Meg clarified that Dennis had many infidelities during their marriage and his struggles with drugs are what led to the inevitable breakup. The You've Got Mail actress told Oprah, she did not leave Quaid for Crowe and that they had actually already been separated for quite some time before she and Crowe started their short relationship.
Meg Ryan And Dennis Quaid Today
Today, the acting giants are on great terms and are supportive of each other and their son, Jack Ryan's career. Jack seemed to follow in his parent's footsteps and became an actor as well, starring in HBO's Vinyl and the Hunger Games franchise.
Quaid married again and had a set of twins with real-estate agent Kimberly Buffington in 2004 which unfortunately also ended in divorce. The Big Easy star is now happily married to Ph.D. student Laura Savoie.
Ryan adopted a daughter in 2006 and was recently engaged to "Jack and Diane" singer John Mellancamp... however that relationship did not last.
