Lukas Gage Catches Director
Handsome and talented Lukas Gage was recording his auditions to reflect and hone his craft but unfortunately for one cocky director, this brilliant move caught the director in terrible behavior.
The 25-year-old actor was more than prepared for his Zoom audition with a director and clearly ready to begin before the director was. The director, thinking he was muted, began trash-talking Lukas's living situation. The director began with "These poor people live in these tiny apartments. Like I'm looking at his background and he's got his TV and, you know..."
Quickly he realized Lukas was reacting to something, and friendly Lukas let him know he was "unmuted". He hilariously responded to the rude director's comments saying, "I know, it's a sh**** apartment. Give me the job so I can get a better one. Alright you ready?" Ever professional Lukas was quick to roll with the punches and ready to perform his part.
The director was mortified and apologizing profusely - not for what he said but that Lukas heard him. Sweet Lukas was quick to respond with a hilarious retort of: "Listen, I'm living in a four by four box. It's fine. Just give me the job and we'll be fine."
Countless high-profile celebrities have rallied to Lukas's defense while he has refused to name the director. January Jones commented, "Classy response Lukas. What an entitled a**hole, dm me who it was so I can make note not to ever work with that person."
Wilmer Valderrama said: "You're a class act. Onward, this director officially has an expiration date." Emmy Rossum even chimed in and said, "I think I know that voice. If it's who I'm thinking, he asked me to "audition" for him once. But not to read a scene. He said he knew I could act. Just to come into his office in a bikini and do a twirl. No joke. THAT was the ask. My reps said he wanted to know if I was "fat right now". I believe I told my agent, "Tell him no thank you and to go f*** himself."
