Robert Irwin's dad, Steve Irwin, is greatly missed by both his family and the world. The world mourned his loss back in 2006 when he succumbed to death after being pierced by a stingray barb.

"The Crocodile Hunter" is fondly remembered for his work in conserving Australian wildlife and his children are making sure to keep his legacy going strong. In fact, his son, Robert Irwin, who was almost three at the time of his father's passing, is beginning to look like the spitting image of his father!

Robert Irwin's Dad

Robert Irwin's dad is none other than the late "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin. Born December 1, 2003, Robert may have only been three when his father passed away but he has followed in his father's footsteps and now hosts his own wildlife program called Robert's Real Life Adventures on the Irwin family network.

Robert has also co-hosted the popular series Wild But True on the Discovery Kids Channel and has even co-written a book, Robert Irwin: Dinosaur Hunter! That's pretty impressive for a boy who is just turning 17!

Robert Irwin Today

Robert Irwin bears a striking resemblance to his late father today. In addition to sharing his father's love of wildlife, the now 17-year-old also enjoys photography and has quite an impressive spread on Instagram!

In addition to hosting his own show, you will also catch Robert starring with his mom and sister on the Animal Planet series, Crikey! It's The Irwins as well as appearing quite often on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon showcasing his sense of humor!

We wish the young "Crocodile Hunter" a very happy birthday and look forward to seeing him grow up even more over the years to come. Robert Irwin has kept his dad's legacy going strong!
