Lin-Manuel Miranda and the rest of the original Broadway cast of Hamilton are digitally reuniting once again for a good cause!
As People reports, Miranda and the Hamilton cast are set to appear on the upcoming Global Citizen special Global Goal: Unite for Our Future—The Concert, where they'll be teaming up with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots for a virtual performance!
Miranda has longstanding relationship with hip hop band The Roots
Miranda last reunited with his former Hamilton castmates in April, when they surprised a fan with a special performance of "Alexander Hamilton" on John Krasinski's webshow, Some Good News.
As People mentions, Miranda and The Roots have a longstanding relationship. During the Hamilton creator's appearances on Fallon's The Tonight Show, he is frequently involved in skits with the hip hop band, which is led by musician Questlove.
Miranda, Fallon, and The Roots just some of the celebrities involved
Miranda's song with Fallon and The Roots won't be the only big performance of the night! As People shares, the Global Goal special will also feature performances by Shakira, Coldplay, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Quavo, J Balvin, Chloe x Halle, Yemi Alade, and Christine and the Queens.
Chris Rock, Hugh Jackman, Kerry Washington, Charlize Theron, Forest Whitaker, David Beckham, Derrick Johnson, Salma Hayek Pinault, Billy Porter, Diane Kruger, Antoni Porowski, Ken Jeong, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Olivia Colman, and Opal Tometi will all be making appearances as well.
The Global Goal benefit special aims to "spotlight the disproportionate affects the novel coronavirus pandemic has had on marginalized communities around the world," as People reports.
Fallon previously worked with Global Citizen as co-host for their One World: Together At Home special, which raised $127.9 million for coronavirus relief efforts. Miranda's reunion with the Hamilton cast comes a week before Hamilton makes its debut on Disney+!
