George Clooney opened up about many aspects of his life in a new interview with CBS Sunday Morning while promoting his exciting and touching new film Midnight Sky.

George Clooney on Meeting Amal

George Clooney is being incredibly reflective of how much his life has changed since he first ventured out to Hollywood. In an interview promoting the new film Midnight Sky, George was all smiles talking about moving to Los Angeles in the '80s in a beat-up car and taking a bicycle to auditions for over a year.

He said, "There is no question that having Amal in my life changed everything for me. It was the first time that everything that she did and everything about her was infinitely more important than anything about me."

"And then we had these two knuckleheads. It is very fulfilling and something I wasn't at all... didn't see coming." Apparently, marriage and children hadn't been on the table until George suddenly decided he had to marry her. "We never talked about marriage when we were dating. I asked her out of the blue, took her a long time to say yes. I was on my knee for like 20 minutes, I finally said, 'Look, I'm gonna throw my hip out!'"

Even kids were a surprising and sudden decision. "We never talked about having kids, and then one day we just said, 'What do you think?' We go to the doctor and you do the ultrasound. They're like, 'You got a baby boy!' and I was like, 'Baby boy, fantastic!' And they go, 'And you got another one there.' I was up for one. Again, I'm old. all of a sudden, it's two. It's hard to get me to not talk and I just stood there for like 10 minutes just staring at this piece of paper going, 'What? Two?'"

Sweet and big-hearted Clooney had a few surprises up his sleeves including letting the interviewer know he had "been cutting my own hair for 25 years. My hair is really straw, ya know. So it's easy to cut. Can't really make too many mistakes."

"So years ago I bought a thing called a Flowbee..." To which the CBS host said, "You did not! The informercial, the Flowbee?"

George proudly confirmed: "It comes with a vacuum cleaner and clippers. Yeah, I still have it." The shocked host asked if his current cut was done with the vintage machine, "Stop it! You don't use it!"

"My haircuts take literally two minutes. It's Flowbee. Hey listen, man, it works! Now I wouldn't do it to ya know, my wife."

George is starring and directing in the Netflix film Midnight Sky about a scientist trying to warn astronauts to stay away from the now uninhabitable Earth. It will be a deeply profound piece about human connection which was coincidentally made before the world was struck by the coronavirus pandemic, making the film all the more relatable.

Midnight Sky will be coming to Netflix on December 23rd. Check out the trailer here:
