Jennifer Grey is an American actress born in Manhattan, New York in 1960. She's best known for her significant role in the 1987 film Dirty Dancing, in which she received a Golden Globe nomination for. She starred opposite of the late Patrick Swayze, launching her career. She also starred alongside Matthew Broderick in the 1986 film Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
After the huge success of Dirty Dancing, Grey appeared on Broadway in the 1993 production of The Twilight of the Golds. She infamously underwent rhinoplasty during this time, which she has admitted had tremendously hurt her acting career. Grey was unrecognizable to both her friends and her fans.

As Jennifer Grey was no longer cast in films or television series, she slowly started to appear in smaller roles in the 2000s. In 2000, she had a minor role in the movie Bounce, starring Gweneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck. Grey was also a contestant in season eleven of Dancing with the Stars, winning the overall competition. Today, she lives with her husband in Venice, California.
