Johnny Crawford is struggling with Alzheimer's

Unfortunately, in his last years of life, the Los Angeles native had been staying out of the media limelight because he had been struggling with Alzheimer's disease. His wife Charlotte, with whom he was married from 1995 until his death in 2021, had been supporting him.

The couple actually struggled to pay for Johnny's treatment and so Paul Petersen, Johnny Crawford's former childhood friend, launched a campaign in 2020 urging fans to help him with this tough situation; the campaign collected part of the ten thousand dollar goal.
