According to TMZ and Mail on Sunday the handsome Vikings actor, Jonathan Rhys Meyers has just been caught by police under the influence.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers Arrested For DUI
TMZ has just reported that the popular Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers has been arrested after he had a minor car accident. Luckily, no other cars were involved and no one appeared to be injured.
Apparently, when police arrived on the scene he appeared intoxicated and he failed a field sobriety test. This would not be Jonathan's first public intoxication issue. Fans will remember he vowed to stay sober after his many rehab stays and the embarrassing American Airlines flight in 2018.
While flying with their young 1-year-old son, Jonathan was secretly smoking his e-cigarette in the bathroom, and then when asked to stop by crew members and his wife he swore at his wife and allegedly said, "f*** you, I'm going to divorce you when I get back."
Other flight passengers reported that he was rude and belligerent the whole flight and police were called to the scene upon landing. He's also been caught by paparazzi drinking vodka directly from the bottle. He told Event Magazine in 2018, "I've let myself down by relapsing, and it's my responsibility. Nobody else is to blame."
He alleged that "I would be known as somebody who relapses with problem drinking, not alcoholism. I don’t suffer from alcoholism. I suffer from an allergy to alcohol every time I drink it," and that "the consequences are so devastating that it is a problem."
He has now had six different rehab stay and been arrested in both France and Dublin for public intoxication. We wish nothing but the best for the highly talented actor and his family.
