Kaitlyn Bristowe wants people to know she doesn't always have the easiest time getting through the day. On Monday, Bristowe made an emotional Instagram post that saw her talk about her ongoing battle with hormonal depression in the hopes that others can relate to her experience.

Bristowe reveals "shameful spirals" with mental health

Bristowe shared a photo of herself sitting in a car, wearing a pink tracksuit and neon running shoes. She also holds a large coffee while looking at the camera with a neutral expression. "Let's have a little unfiltered moment and talk mental health," Bristowe began her post. She called Instagram a "highlight reel" of her life, mentioning it's been some time since she's shared something more raw and relatable.

The Bachelorette co-host then went on to explain to her followers that she was on her period and experiencing hormonal depression. Bristowe said that this can lead to "shameful spirals" as well as bouts of intense anxiety, and even causes her relationship to feel strained. "I get to live a life full of adventure and I feel so proud of myself for working so hard," she said, "but today it’s taking a toll on me."
