Sometimes Halloween isn't just all fun and games... Katy Perry posted a paparazzi picture of her dressed as politician Hillary Clinton from a Halloween party back in 2016. Now, the singer has been hit with a federal lawsuit from the photo agency Backgrid.

Katy Perry being sued for $150,000

"The agency is suing the singer, who shared the snap on her Instagram page on Oct. 29, 2016, for $150,000 for copyright infringement," according to ET Canada. The photo agency has reportedly been going back and fourth with Perry's rep since the photo was posted to Instagram three years ago.

Other celebs like Justin Bieber are also being sued

Other celebrities who have recently been sued for posting paparazzi photos to their Instagram and social media accounts are Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Gigi Hadid. It seems as though it's better to be safe rather than sorry when it comes to using photos that you personally haven't taken so you don't end up getting sued.

It looks like Katy Perry has been more careful with her posts and making sure she is tagging the correct people for photo credits since 2016.
