Clarkson and her two kids— 6-year-old daughter River Rose and 4-year-old son Remington Alexander— are now back in Los Angeles. The trio was previously self-isolating in Montana with Blackstock, who Clarkson recently filed for divorce from. And according to a source, it's important to the singer that her kids grow up in a stable home!

Clarkson "has a special relationship" with Blackstock's children

Clarkson actively wants to make sure River and Remington's upbringing is an emotionally healthy one! "She had to work through a lot of hurt from her childhood," the source said to People about Clarkson. "Her priority is making sure her children grow up in a stable, loving environment."
