The family's revelries took a nostalgic turn at Scott Disick's 40th birthday bash, where matriarch Kris Jenner reminisced about their shared history.
Kim K gets honest?
"You were literally here episode one, season 1," Kris toasted to Scott, referencing the show that started it all, 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians.' But who could have predicted Scott's witty retort? "I was like, 'This show's going nowhere!'" he quipped, sending ripples of laughter through the crowd.
Later, Kim raised her glass to honor Scott, her long-time confidant of 19 years, acknowledging his unwavering support. The playful banter escalated when Scott brought up Kim's past magazine cover, not 'Dog Fancy,' but 'K9 Magazine.'
"Anything for a cover!" Kim jested, admitting her indifference to canines. But it was her whisper to the family that caught everyone's attention: "Guys, we scammed the system. We did it! Whatever it is, we figured it out and did it! We put in some hard work."
In her confessional, Kim reflected on their incredible ascent. "We aren’t supposed to be here, like how did we get in this cool party? We weren’t the cool kids, how did we do it?" However, others defended the family. A user wrote: "They didn't scam anything, she was born & raised in Brentwood California & not in the Bronx. Her dad #RobertKardashian was a powerful attorney defending famous clients such as Oj Simpson , Phil Psector (they are still shareholder in it) & her grandpa had a big chicken corporation."
And another resolved: "Everyone scammed the system, so WHAT LOL."
Despite that, Kim previously opened up about her rise to stardom, admitting that being famous was something she always wanted to achieve.
"Money was always the goal but I was obsessed with fame, like, embarrassingly obsessed," she told 'Vogue Arabia' in September 2019. "I do agree that fame can be addictive. But now, my focus has shifted."
