Young Californian actor Justin Baldoni began working on the screen in 2004 when he was just 20 years old. After almost a decade of working on some well-known television projects, success came to his life in 2014 when he began to play the powerful and irresistible hotel magnate "Rafael Solano" in Jane the Virgin. Since then he has not stopped working. This was the life of Justin Baldoni before fame.

Life Before Fame: Justin Baldoni, from Jane the Virgin

Born on January 24, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, Justin Louis Baldoni was ready for stardom, although his plans did not include acting, but soccer and radio!

Everything changed when he moved home in the early 2000s and met a fierce manager who drew him out to pursue a career in acting. A couple of years later, in 2004, Baldoni was selected to appear in three episodes of The Young and the Restless, one of the longest-running soap operas on television.

After conquering the audience with his charm, Justin Baldoni took acting seriously and underwent more castings that led him to get cast in projects such as Charmed, CSI Miami, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Heroes, and Everwood.

In 2014, with credits in CSI: New York and Happy Endings, Baldoni was chosen to play the hotel magnate "Rafael Solano" in Jane the Virgin, the American adaptation of the Venezuelan telenovela Juana la Virgen. The rest is history.

However, when the series came to an end in 2019, the actor decided to dare and return to one of his first passions: directing.

Between 2012 and 2013, Justin Baldoni directed three short documentaries that recounted the lives of three people about to die. In 2016, Baldoni took up the project and supplemented it with more stories in the documentary series My Last Days.

A year after his last commitment to his series, the protagonist of Jane the Virgin, embarked on a great adventure: directing a young comedy-drama. The successful project Five Feet Apart, 2019, with Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson, was highly acclaimed and earned Baldoni a spot in the Hollywood spotlight.

Fully focused on his new facet as director and producer, Baldoni continues to work showing his talent now behind the camera. In 2020, the Californian presented his second feature film Clouds, on the Disney+ platform and began filming his documentary Laughing at My Nightmare, which he hopes to release in 2022.
