Millions of viewers around the world have been addicted to the work of the Miami Dade Police Crime Laboratory; thanks to CSI: Miami! Originally this series created by Anthony E. Zuiker was broadcast from 2002 to 2012, having a total of 10 seasons and 232 episodes, which to date continue to mean hours and hours of entertainment for millions of people who maintain their love for this production that was created as a spin-off series from CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, also known as CSI: Las Vegas.
David Caruso, Emily Procter, Adam Rodriguez, Khandi Alexander or Jonathan Togo are some of the actors who gave life to main characters such as "Horatio Caine", "Calleigh Duquesne" or "Eric Delko". Despite this, CSI: Miami is the only CSI series that never had an actor nominated for best performance at any major award!

Thanks to the success it had, CSI: Miami managed to generate diverse merchandise, such as comics, video games, or novels based on the series, something that also happened with its predecessor, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

- The main theme of the series is Won't Get Fooled Again, by the British band The Who.
- Although the series is set in Miami, most of it was filmed in California.
- In 2006 Reuters reported that CSI: Miami was the most-watched American television series in the world.
- The ABC chain rejected the series, so CBS was the chain that ended up broadcasting it.
