Love & Hip Hop Star Arrested For Fraud

Shame, shame, shame, 'Mo. Maurice "Arkansas Mo" Fayne of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta has been taking advantage during this terrible crisis. While millions are out of work, business owners have been applying for the Paycheck Protection Program forgivable loans meant to cover payroll costs, mortgages, rent, and utilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mo applied for the loan claiming to need it for his 107 employees of his business Flame Trucking in Georgia. He was granted a whopping $2,045,800, which was over a million less than he requested. The U.S. Department of Justice suspected he was misusing the funds which he denied until his home was searched.

Fayne used the PPP funds for $85,000 in jewelry, to pay off $40,000 worth of child support, and a 2019 Rolls Royce Wraithe! On the government's dime he bought himself a Rolex, a diamond bracelet, and a 5.73-carat diamond ring, and transferred hundreds of thousands of the funds to many of his bank accounts. He even took out $80,000 in cash, with over $9,000 he had on his body!

The Assistant Attorney General released a statement saying "The defendant allegedly stole money meant to assist hard-hit employees and businesses during these difficult times, and instead greedily used the money to bankroll his lavish purchases of jewelry and other personal items."

Maurice Fayne was arrested and made his first court appearance on Wednesday. Maurice is not the only one caught taking advantage of precious public money, but he is the most famous and should have known better especially considering how much he was flaunting his new riches.

Maurice was engaged to Love & Hip Hop costar Karlie Redd but the rhyme-spitting pair split last year.
