Natasha Richardson was born May 11th, 1999 in London to 6-time Academy Award-winning actress Vanessa Redgrave and director and producer Tony Richardson. Natasha paved her own way into Hollywood at a young age even earning starring roles right away.

She starred as Patty Hearst in the biopic about her life and kidnapping, as "Offred/Kate" in Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale and alongside Ralph Fiennes in The White Countess. Her filmography is truly impressive, owning the screen while next to film greats like Patrick Swayze, Charlize Theron, Christopher Walken, and Alan Rickman.

Natasha not only triumphed the screen but also mastered the stage and won a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for her performance of "Sally Bowles" in the Broadway revival of Cabaret. She performed in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet, and Cole Porter's High Society, Anna Christie, and A Streetcar Named Desire.

Natasha was a major activist in the fight against the AIDS crisis because her father passed away from AIDS-related complications in 1991. She actively served on the board for more than 5 AIDS charities and was a big force behind fundraising efforts.

Richardson and Liam Neeson had undeniable chemistry when they worked together on the production of Anna Christie. She ended her previous marriage and began her beautiful romance with Liam.

The gorgeous pair married in 1994 and the two had the most beautiful and genuine love. Neeson loved showing Natasha off at their Hollywood events and red carpet walks. The two shared two sons together, Micheál born in 1995, and Daniel in 1996. They even acted alongside each other as romantic partners in the film Nell.

Natasha Richardson's Tragic Death

On March 19th, 2009 Natasha Richardson was taking skiing lessons when she fell on a Canadian mountain. She was taken to safety on a sleigh but once she was back at the resort hotel she felt she did not need medical attention. Less than 2 hours later she began feeling very ill and was rushed to the hospital. Tragically, she died shortly thereafter from an epidural hematoma from the blunt fall on her head. Her entire family was by her side when she passed away.

Liam Neeson's publicist released a statement saying "Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love, and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time."

Natasha touched the hearts and lives of countless people in her industry. Meryl Streep told ABC news "Tash was the warm sun in the center of a large constellation of family, friends, all of those lucky enough to know her." Ralph Fiennes also spoke with ABC News and said "I cannot imagine a world without her wit, her love, her mischief, her great, great talent and her gift for living. I loved her very much. She was a supreme friend. I shall miss her deeply."
