• Pamela Anderson is a celebrated Canadian actress and TV personality
  • Her marriage to Tommy Lee was tabloid fodder from its beginning
  • Pamela is setting the record straight about her personal life in a new documentary

When a sex tape between Pamela and Tommy was released publicly via a blackmailer, you couldn't turn on the TV or read a newspaper or magazine without seeing Pamela or Tommy's faces. It made Pamela Anderson a household name for reasons other than her acting talents, and marked her career in a negative light, even to this day!

Pamela Anderson Is Ready To Tell Her Side Of Things!

But now, Anderson is ready to tell her story, and she has a lot to say about what unfolded so publicly all those years ago! Netflix announced this past Wednesday that a new documentary is coming out, already in production for several years, which will find “the pop culture icon setting the record straight as she looks back on her professional path and her personal journey.”

This documentary comes right on the heels of Hulu’s much talked about production Pam & Tommy, a limited series about Anderson and Tommy Lee’s stolen sex tape, which reopened some old wounds for Anderson.

Pamela herself was is not involved with that project, and she is less than happy about such a horrific chapter of her life being shamelessly exploited for entertainment purposes for the entire world to see once again!

A New Era Dawns For Pamela Anderson

Netflix included a personal note from Anderson within their announcement which simply read: “My life: A thousand imperfections, a million misperceptions,” she writes. “Wicked, wild and lost. Nothing to live up to — I can only surprise you. Not a victim, but a survivor. And alive to tell the real story.”

For many fans, it will be refreshing and empowering to finally hear Anderson tell her side of things, and to really expound on how the media's pressure compounded her problems at the time, as there were many rumors about how and why the sex tape got released in the first place back in 1995. Producers are hoping to perhaps spark a new conversation on how tabloids can shape the public's perception in a negative way.

Either way, it looks like Pamela Anderson is ready to put the past behind her for good, and we couldn't be happier for her!
