Rebel Wilson went through a dramatic transformation last year, but it didn't go without some skepticism! During her recent appearance on BBC Breakfast, Wilson shared that her team had initially questioned why she'd want to change her image after she announced her plan to get fit.

Wilson says she was known for "being the funny fat girl"

Wilson announced on social media last year that 2020 would be her "Year of Health," frequently sharing updates on her fitness progress. The actress ended up meeting her target goal of losing 70 pounds, and has been showing off a much slimmer figure in the months since. While Wilson received lots of support, her management team was surprised about her proposed change to her on-screen persona.

The Pitch Perfect star said that they asked her why she would want to make such a big change to her physical appearance, explaining how she was "earning millions of dollars being the funny fat girl" up until this point. But while Wilson says she was "confident" prior to losing the weight, she knew that the choice to get in shape was right for her. Not only did she want to be more mindful with eating, she found herself reconsidering her life plans.

"I was the classic example of a career woman who went out into the world, didn't even think about kids," she said, mentioning how she's "still trying" to have a child. Wilson has previously spoken out about her difficulties with fertility, revealing back in May that she had a miscarriage. "To all the women out there struggling with fertility, I feel ya," she said at the time. While she is still hopeful things will change in the future, Wilson said her ultimate goal is to be "the healthiest I can be."
