Sam Asghari and Britney Spears want the world to know they're on team #FreeBritney! On Thursday, Spears's fiancé took to social media to post a video of the two wearing matching t-shirts emblazoned with the hashtag, which has become a rallying cry for the singer's autonomy in the midst of her ongoing conservatorship battle.

Asghari shared an Instagram video set to Spears' song "Work B*tch" that sees him and Spears both wearing #FreeBritney shirts. While Asghari's shirt is black and Spears's is white, they both feature the hashtag against a bright red background. If that wasn't enough to send a message, there's also a powerful message underneath. "It's a human rights movement," the shirts say.

The video is composed of several clips, including one of Spears and Asghari smiling and pointing to the shirt. Asghari also shared a photo of their dog Porsha in a #FreeBritney top on his Instagram story. Spears has used the hashtag before, but this marks the first time she's supported the movement in such a public way. After she spoke out about all the things she is legally unable to do during a court hearing in the summer, her case garnered significant media attention.

Friday could potentially see Spears released from the conservatorship she has been under since 2008, which her father Jamie filed to end back in September. Earlier this week, Spears herself shared an Instagram post alluding at the important date. There's no doubt that it's a big day not only for Spears and Asghari but for fans of the pop star, who are all waiting on the verdict with the hope that 2021 will finally #FreeBritney.
