Scarlett Johansson talks Marvel and motherhood
She may be one of the biggest stars in the Hollywood action world, but that doesn't mean Marvel superhero, Scarlett Johansson lets it get to her head!
The "Black Widow" actress says she regularly takes her five year-old daughter Rose throughout Manhattan, and past the apartment she grew up in.
Appearing on the cover issue for Parade magazine, the star opens up about the benefits of living where she did growing up, saying, “One of the great privileges of raising your kids where you grew up is that you get to do the stuff and see the things you did when you were a kid."
The actress also mentioned she was unaware of how huge a success the Marvel movies would be, saying, "We’re still processing how much of an impact these movies have had."
Johansson also went on to talk about the struggles she faced trying to come up in Hollywood, and was often times a second choice for roles, including "Black Widow" which was meant for Emily Blunt.
“Since an early age, I’ve been rejected constantly,” she said. “I’ve basically made a career out of being second choice.”
Johansson will be featured on the April 26 cover issue of Parade magazine!
