Boris Kodjoe is a hit on ABC's Station 19. Born March 8, 1973, in Vienna, Austria, Boris Kodjoe had other ambitions than acting as a child. A talented tennis player, Boris would be awarded a tennis scholarship to study at Virginia Commonwealth University. 

Boris would play all four years of his degree and is quite the legend at his alma mater. Sadly, his professional tennis career would come to an end following a back injury.

Before Boris Kodjoe was starring on Station 19, he would pursue a career in modeling after his tennis career was cut short. His move to acting would follow not long after and his early career saw him in films and series including:

In 2018, Boris would land a role on Grey's Anatomy spin-off number two, Station 19. Starring as the new fire captain "Robert Sullivan" in season two, Boris has quickly become a fan favorite and his handsome looks have made him the "McSteamy" of the fire station.

In 2005, Boris Kodjoe would marry his Soul Food co-star, American actress Nicole Ari Parker. The pair now have two beautiful children together, daughter Sophie and son Nicolas.
