Ming-Na Wen in The Mandalorian has created excitement among her long time fans! Born November 20, 1963 in Macau, Ming-Na spent her childhood growing up in Hong Kong before moving to the United States when she was just four years old. 

Wen's first experience with acting would come in 1985 when she was cast onto the popular children's show, Mister Roger's Neighborhood. Other early roles included as "Lien Hughes" on the daytime soap opera As the World Turns, and in the critically acclaimed 1993 film The Joy Luck Club.

Before Ming-Na Wen was playing The Mandalorian's "Fennec Shand", she rose to fame as the voice of "Mulan" in Disney's animated musical films Mulan (1998) and Mulan II (2004). As the first Asian Disney princess, Ming-Na Wen grew quite the fan following and was an inspiration for young girls everywhere! 

Now, over two decades later, Ming-Na Wen is starring in another Disney original, The Mandalorian. Once again playing the part of a strong and independent woman, as Star War's first major Asian villain, Ming-Na Wen is well-loved by fans both old and new!

Ming-Na Wen was so well-loved in her 2019 Mandalorian appearance that fans were devastated when her character was killed off. Although some critics are speculating "Fennec Shand" could still be alive, so we could be seeing more of Ming-Na Wen shortly.

The now 58-year-old Wen, who doesn't look a day over 30, has even been encouraging fans to start a petition to bring her character back! In an interview with Insider, Ming-Na stated she would jump at the opportunity to come back to the show! 

In the meantime, make sure to catch Ming-Na Wen's cameo appearance in the 2020 live-action remake of Mulan as well as her 2020 drama Pearl. While only time will tell if Ming-Na Wen will make a return to The Mandalorian, we are keeping our fingers and toes crossed!
