The Mandalorian season 2 is coming to Disney+ soon, and the streaming platform has just released the official trailer for the hit show! As Entertainment Tonight shares, the sophomore season of the Star Wars spinoff is set to pick up where things left off, with Pedro Pascal's titular character and "the Child"— more popularly known as "Baby Yoda"— embarking on a journey together.

The Mandalorian season 2 teases new female character

The Mandalorian season 2 looks like it will be centered on the quest to reunite "the Child" with the Jedi. But as Entertainment Tonight mentions, in the Star Wars universe, this undertaking is "a mission made that much more difficult by trigger-happy X-Wings and underground Gamorrean fight clubs."

Carl Weathers' character "Greef Karga" and Gina Carano's "Cara Dune" can be seen in the trailer, along with the first appearance of WWE wrestler Sasha Banks as an unidentified cloaked female character. And while it's been rumoured that Rosario Dawson and Katee Sackhoff will be part of the new season, neither of them have made an appearance yet!

Fortunately, fans don't have long to wait to see their favourite characters (and some exciting new ones!) in action. That's because the release date of The Mandalorian's second season was officially revealed earlier this month as October 30!
