Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 20, 1970, John Krasinski started his acting career in 2000, after studying at the National Theater Institute, the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon, England, and The Actors Center in New York City. The 44-year-old actor appeared in television commercials, acted in Broadway plays, and got some minor roles in films in the early 2000s, but his major breakthrough was when he was cast in the 2004 NBC's sitcom The Office, where he portrayed "Jim," a very smart and mild-mannered sales representative and "Pam's" (Jenna Fischer) partner.
