But it's not all about the music. The trailer dives into Amy's personal life too, featuring her romance with Blake Fielder-Civil (played by the dashing Jack O'Connell) and her bond with her mother Janis (brought to life by Lesley Manville). It's a story of love, loss, and, of course, legendary music.

The cast is a roll call of talent, with Eddie Marsan, Bronson Webb, Ansu Kabia, and Harley Bird joining the lineup. And get this – the Amy Winehouse Estate is giving the project two thumbs up, along with Universal Music Group and Sony Music Publishing. Talk about a seal of approval! In addition to the title track, the multi-Grammy-winning British soul sensation charted with such tracks as "Rehab," "Valerie" and "Love Is a Losing Game."

In her short career, she sold more than 30 million records worldwide. While she enjoyed stratospheric success, Winehouse struggled with addiction and intrusive media attention. She died July 23, 2011, aged 27, of what was ruled an accidental alcohol overdose.

Taylor-Johnson spills the beans on her personal connection to Winehouse, reminiscing about her own days in Camden and witnessing Winehouse's genius firsthand. She's not just making a movie; she's telling the story of a woman who became part of her DNA.

"‘Back to Black’ is a never-before-seen glimpse into Amy Winehouse’s early rise to fame and the release of her groundbreaking studio album, ‘Back to Black," the logline reads. "Told from Amy’s perspective, the film is an unapologetic look at the woman behind the phenomenon and the relationship that inspired one of the most legendary albums of all time."

Taylor-Johnson, explained her personal connection to Winehouse in a previous statement to 'Entertainment Weekly'.

"My connection to Amy began when I left college and was hanging out in the creatively diverse London borough of Camden. I got a job at the legendary KOKO club, and I can still breathe every market stall, vintage shop and street," she said. "… A few years later Amy wrote her searingly honest songs whilst living in Camden. Like with me, it became part of her DNA."

Also interesting:

"As a filmmaker you can't really ask for more. I feel excited and humbled to have this opportunity to realize Amy's beautifully unique and tragic story to cinema accompanied by the most important part of her legacy — her music," she added.

"I am fully aware of the responsibility, with my writing collaborator, Matt Greenhalgh, I will create a movie that we will all love and cherish forever. Just like we do Amy."

Mark your calendars! 'Back to Black' hits theaters on May 10. Get ready to be transported back to the soulful streets of London and the voice that defined a generation. This is one biopic that promises to be as unforgettable as its subject.
