• Tiffany Haddish is a comedian and actor
  • She has gotten arrested for a DUI
  • THIS is what we know so far about it

The star, known for her electrifying energy on stage, apparently took a snooze at the worst possible time, which was behind the wheel of her running vehicle!

According to TMZ, which posted video of a handcuffed Haddish being placed into the backseat of a police cruiser, the comedian was not involved in an accident but was found by officers at dawn, slumped over the wheel of her car. The engine of the vehicle was still running.

Early morning escapade

It was a scene straight out of a Hollywood flick, but with a plot twist that's all too real. At the ungodly hour of 5:45 AM, the streets of Beverly Drive became the backdrop for Haddish's unexpected snooze fest. Concerned citizens dialed the cops when they spotted the 'Girls Trip' star there, sparking a response that ended with flashing lights and a trip downtown.

Despite the dramatic arrest, Haddish went with the flow, showing that even in the face of adversity, she keeps her cool. The arrest came on the heels of a heartwarming performance at The Laugh Factory's annual Thanksgiving feast, proving that life's script is full of irony.

This isn't Haddish's first tango with the law over sleepy steering. Just last year, she faced a similar situation in Atlanta, leading to another DUI charge and an upcoming court date. It seems like the universe is giving her a nudge – maybe it's time for a full-time chauffeur?

In January 2022 she was arrested under a similar circumstance for a DUI in Peachtree City, Georgia. The actress was sound "dozing in the driver's seat" of her car, according to TMZ.

Soon after her mug shot was released where the star could be seen smiling as she wore her hair in a short gray buzz cut as she went makeup free.

What about now?

She was cited for a DUI and is expected to be released from custody later today. The video obtained by TMZ showed her in a pink floral print sleeveless top with dark slacks and her hair worn very short.  The site said her arrested was 'peaceful' with no resistance.

Before she fell asleep at the wheel of her car, Tiffany was trying to make people laugh. She had performed a stand-up set at The Laugh Factory on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood for the club's 43rd annual free Thanksgiving feast for the community.

The Laugh Factory is about a 15 minute drive from Beverly Hills.

Officers told the site they believed that she had been smoking marijuana. The site also looked at her arrest record which noted she had posted $1,666 to bond to get out of jail around 6:30 AM.

With her December 4 trial looming, fans are left wondering how this latest run-in with the law will play out for the comedy superstar. Will she turn this into material for her next stand-up special, or is it a wake-up call for a change?
