Britney Spears just announced her pregnancy a few weeks ago. However, the singer now has a sad update to share, as Spears took to social media on Saturday to reveal that she has suffered a miscarriage.
Spears says she was "overly excited" about pregnancy
Spears made a joint statement on behalf of herself and partner Sam Asghari about their tragic loss. "It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy," she wrote on Instagram.
The singer called it "a devastating time," but also clarified that she and Asghari will continue to try to expand their family. She admits that she may have made her pregnancy public too soon, explaining that they were "overly excited to share the good news" after finding out they were expecting.
