The pressure was on, but with this look, it was impossible for people to look away! This couture ensemble was inspired by a 1947 fashion photo and made by Dior.

While Cardi B may not always be known for her subtly on the red carpet, in 2019 this rapper brought it all wearing a vintage Mugler Oyster dress. The dress was originally made for a couture runway in 1995 and Cardi rocked it the best way possible, showing off the dramatic black and pink gown and pearl accents!

When one thinks of iconic red carpet moments, this swan look from Björk always takes the cake! Whether you love it or hate it, there's no denying the Icelandic artist did something unique. When talking about why she went such a strange route on the red carpet, Björk said according to CR Fashion Book, "I was very aware when I went to the Awards that it would probably be my first and last time." Along with wearing this strange dress, Björk brought along six ostrich eggs she would "lay". She later said to the same publication that she was really surprised people took her seriously and that the whole thing was a joke.

Perhaps one of the more disgusting ideas out there would be Lady Gaga's meat dress. While many were shocked at her choice, the multiple Grammy winner revealed that it actually had a powerful political statement attached revealing to British Vogue in 2010 that it was more about the way soldiers that are a part of the LGBTQ+ community are treated, oftentimes being denied the opportunity to serve their country.

Cher rocked more than just the stage performing, wearing a one-of-a-kind Bob Mackie dress to the 60th annual Oscars. The designer often made custom pieces for Cher, as well as the likes of Marilyn Monroe. Cher, who has dubbed this as one of her boldest looks, also admitted that part of the reason she wore such a crazy outfit was that she felt people didn't take her as a serious actress, which she proved was false two years later winning an Oscar herself.

Beyoncé

Beyoncé's 2015 Met Gala look was iconic for more reasons than one! Not only did the A-lister show up late to the red carpet saving her look to be one of the last, the barely-there Givenchy gown truly was one of the most memorable of the evening. Beyoncé, took the theme "China: Through The Looking Glass" very seriously, literally giving us a dress we could look through, with the delicate crystal jewels hiding hardly anything.

When you think of an Oscar gown, biker shorts don't really come into mind as being a part of it, but according to Demi Moore, that's exactly what this look needed! While some people hated it, many others were in awe about the fashion risk. It just goes to show she's a fashion icon, considering this dress was actually a DIY project made from pieces she already had in her closet. At the time, Moore was critically panned for her choice, but as the years have passed, fashion experts have changed their tune about this unusual look.

Before Beyoncé did her see-through gown, Rihanna really showed everything she had! The pop icon showed up to the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards in a bejewelled gown showing her entire figure. While the dress itself was incredible, Rihanna took everyone's breath away by adding a head wrap and a fur throw, you know, for modesty. The Adam Selman dress was gorgeously paired with Rihanna's big smile, as she was awarded Fashion Icon of 2014 by none other than Anna Wintour herself.

Elie Saab outdid herself with this gorgeous gown worn by Halle Berry in 2002. The Oscar red carpet that year was floored by the stunning look, and the dress itself has gone down in many fashion history books. According to The Daily Telegraph, Halle Berry's look was voted the 8th best Oscar gown of all time, and the actress herself looked just as incredible as she accepted her own award for Best Actress for her work in Monster's Ball.
