Lily Allen was born May 2nd, 1985 in Hammersmith, West London to well-known comedian Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen. She is actually the older sister of Game Of Thrones star Alfie Allen! She even has a song dedicated to him called "Alfie" which apparently he is not a fan of.

Lily was kicked out of many schools growing up for smoking and drinking and eventually dropped out of school at age 15 to focus on her music career. Using her father's connections she got signed to London Records in 2002 and shortly left music to pursue horticulture but ultimately returned to the music industry.

Lily Allen's Rise To Fame

Lily really reached the attention of fans by posting her music on Myspace and really utilizing social media in the early stages. Allen then earned the right to have a little bit more creative control over her music and decided to work with hit-makers Greg Kurstin and Mark Ronson to make her debut album Alright, Still.  

This album landed her on top charts all over the world and even performed at the celebration of the life of Princess Diana at Wembley Stadium! She has produced 3 more albums It's Not Me, It's You, Sheezus, and No Shame. For her creative and experimental music, she has won a BRIT award, a Grammy, and 3 Ivor Novello Awards!
