This week, it was take-your-pet-to-work day for Duchess Camilla.

Camilla was unveiling a memorial plaque at the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, which was opening a new kennel in honour of the Duchess of Cornwall—who's a patron of the shelter. For the occasion, she brought one of her little dogs, Beth, who ended up stealing the show.

For the event, a dog treat was placed in the curtain covering the plaque, so Beth could assist with the unveiling. The cute Jack Russell terrier happily obliged and the job was done in no time. Duchess Camilla got a relaxed day during the special "joint" outing and was visibly amused by the whole scene.

The Duchess, a patron of the shelter, also adopted Beth from the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home almost 10 years ago. Another Jack Russell terrier named Bluebell followed. The new dog kennels at the shelter were named the "Duchess of Cornwall Kennels" in honour of Camilla's patronage.

The British royals, Camilla included, are well-known dog lovers. Queen Elizabeth II even bred Dorgis herself. But sadly, the Queen's penultimate dog passed away just recently.
